Horse / Hooved Animal Rescue Screening Application

In 2014, Hands & Hooves successfully rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed more than 167 hooved animals in two of the worst cruelty cases in the Midwest.  The rescues included horses, miniature horses, miniature donkeys, miniature goats, llamas and alpacas.

  1. Fill out the Screening Application on the link above.
  2. After applications have been reviewed and candidates have been interviewed, reference checks will be done with a licensed Veterinarian and Farrier as well as horse trainer, if applicable.
  3. Appointments will be made to see animals after applications have been reviewed and references have been checked.
  4. A site inspection will be done and transfer of ownership papers/liability releases will need to be signed by all parties.
  5. Adoption fees will be required and set on an individual basis for all animals being re-homed, depending on their age and overall condition.
